Although I don't think horses and hounds were responsible. I did get to open the blinds this morning to be confronted with a dead Fox laying in the gutter. I can't say my first instinct was to go and poke it with a stick. However from a distance it did look familiar. The local council's fox corpse recovery team - yes we have those - has already removed it. Giving me an excuse not to go and have a closer look. If it is one of the local foxes. The new mistake is that the same blind is no too wide. So we're going for a third attempt, probably next Wednesday (13/12). Based on measurements which look remarkably similar to my original measurements. Dare I suggest that this could all have been avoided. If, rather than treating them as some great trade secret, they'd just given their measurements to me for comparison. At least we're getting our money's worth from those $60 screws though.
