I did not have the best of days on March 11th (11/3). Despite the twin parties of the Oscars and, finally!, finishing a six week gym cycle which had started back in 2023. I had to get up super early to find that rarest of things in Britain these days - an NHS Dentist. In order to sort out a wisdom tooth I broke the previous week, whilst eating soup. While I was doing that my father discovered that he couldn't start his car. Meaning that I had to learn about and source a jump starter - a lithium ion battery pack you can use to jump start a car. As we needed that five minutes ago I also had to activate an Amazon Prime subscription, with next day delivery.  Depending on your perspective March 11th also marked the start of Ramadan. Like Amazon Prime subscriptions Ramadan lasts for a month. So I, weirdly, ended up getting an Amazon Prime subscription for Ramadan. Today I took down the blinds Hillarys had fitted. Then refitted them myself.  I wouldn't go so far as to say they've done anything wrong. It's just that has always been the most frustrating part of this whole thing. The knowledge that I can do it better, cheaper. For example they've used cheap squeezable plastic spacers to align the blinds. Where I custom made ones out of wood. Not that I'd want to pay a stranger to be in my house for the time that took. Particularly as they're painted. The main blind is mounted into the wall over the frame. In doing this Hillarys didn't factor in the frame. So the blind rubs up against it, damaging the blind and making it difficult to open and close. So I used different wooden spacers to bring the blind forwar...
