It goes to the fashion of parents using exotic foreign words as names for their children. Often to the amusement of speakers of that language.

Noah Cyrus, and her family, has provided the Eurovision community with many endless hours of entertainment. The exotic feminine Hebrew name they were aiming for was; "Noa." However they missed and landed her with the masculine; "Noah."

Perhaps an even more hilarious example is Danny Masterson and Bijou Phillips. Who named their daughter; "Fianna." Convinced by all those baby name books that it's a beautiful Irish-Gaelic name meaning; "Deer."

It really doesn't. It means; "Army," or a plurality of soldiers. The main Irish centre-left party is; "Fianna Fail," or; "Soldiers of Ireland."

Naming your daughter; "Army" is just setting her up for a lifetime of terrible jokes. About the tens of thousands of men, and some women, who are expected to serve in her. Which is bad enough, even when your father isn't a convicted rapist.

In the late noughties there was a bit of a Hollywood trend towards naming your son; "Aleph." Despite that just being the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet - Aleph, Bet etc. Which, in terms of creativity, is really only one step up from just numbering your kids.

Although she absolutely hates it when I remind people. I suspect the Jerusalem born Natalie Portman did that entirely on purpose.

The masculine name; "Simon" is the anglicised version of the Hebrew masculine name; "Shimon." Which all of those baby name books will try and convince you means; "Listener."

In actuality. A Jewish couple wanted a baby so badly that they prayed endlessly. After many long years G0d listened, their prayers were answered and they had a son. They named G0d's answer to all their prayers; "I Heard."

A DJ who has chosen to give themselves the name; "Shimon" then choosing to release a track called; "Hush Hush" certainly speaks to the trolling nature of Drum n' Bass culture.
