She is Luxembourgish. Born in Luxembourg City, home to the founding HQ of The European Coal & Steel Community, seat of the EU Parliament until 1991 and sill home to the EU Court, the EU Investment Bank and much of the EU's vast, vast bureaucracy. Where she was educated at one of the several schools exclusively for the children of EU bureaucrats.

However her parents are both from Slovenia. They moved to Luxembourg to join the EU's vastly and vastly expensive bureaucracy in 2003, a year before Slovenia even joined the EU.




And, as I'm sure Melania has already explained to her husband;

I'm sure Pedro Pascal is familiar with State-Run Totalitarian Capitalism. State Owned Enterprises (SOE's) like Petrobras, PescaPeru, MineroPeru. And all that. However Big Tech's decision to adopt the No Nipples Rule could well be an example of State-Absent Totalitarian Capitalism. Where there are no checks on the power of Corporations. Rather like in the Captaincies before the locals got all nibbly. Or in the time of the Robber Barons during the US' Gilded Age. A small group of very rich people who own the infrastructure got together and decided this is the rule we have to live by now. Not only didn't we tell them to introduce that rule we probably don't even know who they are.
