Typical, Innit(!)
This week I digitised a lot of CD's. So I could rediscover some music while doing my yard work. The moment I started my Mp3 player stopped working.
Although that's not quite true. Rather than having internal memory my £20 Mp3 player relies on a removable MicroSD card. The Mp3 player and the MicroSD card both still work perfectly. However the little clip that keeps the MicroSD card broke. The failure of that tiny bit of plastic rendered both of those complex pieces of electronics useless. Although the MicroSD card worked fine in my Bluetooth speaker. Provided you enjoy listening to your albums in strict alphabetical order.
So I hopped on Amazon and brought an exact like-for-like replacement. I've actually been very impressed by the Mp3 player I brought nearly two years ago on the assumption it would be disposable.
While I was there I also picked up a tobacco pouch. Why make do with tatty plastic when you can have suede?
I also got a switch adaptor. For the longest time the TV in my bedroom hasn't worked. During a bout of cleaning I got the multimeter out for long enough to discover the TV's fine. It was just the power adapter that was broken.
While I've yet to test it I'm quite proud at getting a £100 TV to work again for £10. Particularly as was all, essentially, free to me. Being covered by a gift card balance I've had on my account for about 6 months.
Plus it's been so long since I've used Amazon Prime they gave me a month free to entice me back. So maybe I won't feel so bad if I don't get time to watch any movies this month.
I ordered it all yesterday evening. Amazon said it would be delivered today and it was delivered today.
I can certainly think of a few High Street retailers who deserve to be put out of business by Bezos.
