Obviously there's the Kenny Rogers song; "The Gambler." I think Lake Havasu might have been mentioned in a House of Pain song, not that it's worth checking. Then there's the London Bridge thing. 

Back when I had time to watch TV I wasn't averse to watching a bit of; "Storage Wars" or; "Pawn Stars." Which could be tied up to the time I spent volunteering at a mental health rehabilitation project which took the guise of a charity shop or Bargin Store. Basically we'd have all of the house clearances or storage locker clearances dumped on us and have to sort through to decide what was junk and what had value. Or it could just be that it's a bit interesting to learn about history through objects.

I suspect that when the momentum breaks, Trump and Netanyahu step back from the three foot world and take in the entirety of the disaster they've just inflicted on themselves they'll blow their brains out too.

Of Course There's More Than One Type Of Totalitarian Capitalism.

I'm sure Pedro Pascal is familiar with State-Run Totalitarian Capitalism. State Owned Enterprises (SOE's) like Petrobras, PescaPeru, MineroPeru. And all that. However Big Tech's decision to adopt the No Nipples Rule could well be an example of State-Absent Totalitarian Capitalism. Where there are no checks on the power of Corporations. Rather like in the Captaincies before the locals got all nibbly. Or in the time of the Robber Barons during the US' Gilded Age. A small group of very rich people who own the infrastructure got together and decided this is the rule we have to live by now. Not only didn't we tell them to introduce that rule we probably don't even know who they are.
