But I could really have had a complete gate by end of day Wednesday (15/4), plus drying time. Not that there's any great rush. For all the noise those screws still haven't been delivered.

With it sounding like someone's committed to a long wait I'm tempted to tackle the pier by recycling the existing bricks by stripping the old mortar off. It seems like less hassle than expecting something to be delivered.

However Big Tech's decision to adopt the No Nipples Rule could well be an example of State-Absent Totalitarian Capitalism. Where there are no checks on the power of Corporations. Rather like in the Captaincies before the locals got all nibbly. Or in the time of the Robber Barons during the US' Gilded Age. A small group of very rich people who own the infrastructure got together and decided this is the rule we have to live by now. Not only didn't we tell them to introduce that rule we probably don't even know who they are.
