Today is a New Day.

Tuesday March 17th 2026 (17/3/26).

I got behind yesterday. Now I've got chores to do.

Plus, true to my word I hurt my back at the gym on Sunday. So I was in quite a bit of pain before the Paralympic Closing Ceremony, let alone the Oscars. Standing was a bit of a challenge yesterday although it seems much better today.

Of Course There's More Than One Type Of Totalitarian Capitalism.

I'm sure Pedro Pascal is familiar with State-Run Totalitarian Capitalism. State Owned Enterprises (SOE's) like Petrobras, PescaPeru, MineroPeru. And all that. However Big Tech's decision to adopt the No Nipples Rule could well be an example of State-Absent Totalitarian Capitalism. Where there are no checks on the power of Corporations. Rather like in the Captaincies before the locals got all nibbly. Or in the time of the Robber Barons during the US' Gilded Age. A small group of very rich people who own the infrastructure got together and decided this is the rule we have to live by now. Not only didn't we tell them to introduce that rule we probably don't even know who they are.
