Thames Water have now repaired the leak in their infrastructure. Specifically the communication pipe which runs between their main and my supply pipe. To do that they had to cut through the municipal Council's sidewalk. All things I'm legally forbidden from doing.

You would hope that having go beyond admitting liability and made the repair they'd stop trying to charge me for the water that's leaked from their infrastructure. However in any rational universe the time for them to stop doing that was when they'd admitted liability.

So unless I get the appropriate paperwork in the next couple of days this is going to be my Monday now too.

I'm sure Pedro Pascal is familiar with State-Run Totalitarian Capitalism. State Owned Enterprises (SOE's) like Petrobras, PescaPeru, MineroPeru. And all that. However Big Tech's decision to adopt the No Nipples Rule could well be an example of State-Absent Totalitarian Capitalism. Where there are no checks on the power of Corporations. Rather like in the Captaincies before the locals got all nibbly. Or in the time of the Robber Barons during the US' Gilded Age. A small group of very rich people who own the infrastructure got together and decided this is the rule we have to live by now. Not only didn't we tell them to introduce that rule we probably don't even know who they are.
