It doesn't seem to have changed much since the US rescued it from being a Spanish Slave Colony during The Spanish-American War (1898).

Anyway. Here's our culture.

People from New York City might already be familiar with it, due to the large Puerto Rican (non-immigrant) population.

People outside of NYC might recognise it from Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical which was made into a 2021 movie; "In The Heights."

Lin-Manuel Miranda also wrote; "Hamilton." About Alexander Hamilton and the US Founder Fathers. It proved so successful you've got to worry that people are growing up in the US school system actually thinking that Alexander Hamilton was Hispanic. Rather than one of those Northern European White men they're taught to hate so much.

Speaking of epic works of fiction.

Does anyone remember when Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico in 2017, finally finishing off the island's horrifically maintained power grid. The Republican Federal government immediately sent massive amounts of aid. Only for the Democrat local government to let it rot in the (air)fields, rather than distributing it. Confident their friends in the media would lie and make it seem like it was the Republican's fault.

Alongside Washington, District of Columbia (DC) Puerto Rico seems to want to be joined in union with the US, becoming a full State.

Not because they want Representation to go along with their Taxation, like Boston's Sons of Liberty. But to Gerrymander all future elections to allow the Democrats to permanently rule the US as a one party state.

To ensure the entire country can be as badly run as Puerto Rico.
