Oh, I Started Watching Season 3 Of "Industry" The Other Day.

I'm worried the Oscars coverage might not have shown it in the best light.

I did think Season 1 had a lot of potential. Enough to make me want to watch Season 2. Even if that did turn out to be a case-study in how some shows really didn't cope with The Pandemic That Never Was (2020). The barely coherent ramblings about the guy who predicted and profiteered from Covid trying to launch private healthcare in Britain. 

They're attempting Green Energy now and I'm still watching. Even if some would have been sorely disappointed to discover it as the post-"Succession" jewel-in-the crown of HBO's Sunday night.

Even Chinese journalists would find its questions about the jargon to be painfully basic these days.

Of Course There's More Than One Type Of Totalitarian Capitalism.

I'm sure Pedro Pascal is familiar with State-Run Totalitarian Capitalism. State Owned Enterprises (SOE's) like Petrobras, PescaPeru, MineroPeru. And all that. However Big Tech's decision to adopt the No Nipples Rule could well be an example of State-Absent Totalitarian Capitalism. Where there are no checks on the power of Corporations. Rather like in the Captaincies before the locals got all nibbly. Or in the time of the Robber Barons during the US' Gilded Age. A small group of very rich people who own the infrastructure got together and decided this is the rule we have to live by now. Not only didn't we tell them to introduce that rule we probably don't even know who they are.
