I would say that if they're still claiming this was a mistake rather than an intentional act they should be able to explain how they intended to edit the footage. Along with how the footage got mislabelled during the edit process, then not checked by anyone.

Although people being prepared to indulge their sixth-form student union petulance is really their main problem.

However Big Tech's decision to adopt the No Nipples Rule could well be an example of State-Absent Totalitarian Capitalism. Where there are no checks on the power of Corporations. Rather like in the Captaincies before the locals got all nibbly. Or in the time of the Robber Barons during the US' Gilded Age. A small group of very rich people who own the infrastructure got together and decided this is the rule we have to live by now. Not only didn't we tell them to introduce that rule we probably don't even know who they are.
