Yesterday I finally got around to fixing a reading lamp. It turns out it just needed cleaning up a bit. I also removed its ridiculously long cord. Reattaching the plug to a cord of a more appropriate length.

Of course that's a different reading lamp to the one gifted to me by one of the sons of one of the Presidents of Madagascar. As part payment for bodyguarding him during the 2002 crisis.

Since then I must confess I've not been paying much attention. So I just hope they can still afford full courses of Antibiotics.

We probably don't want drug resistant Plague becoming the next Pandemic.
