Yeah, I Think That's A Big Part Of The Reason Why "I'm Still Here" (2024) Got Torpedoed.

It's one thing for the American Academy to acknowledge that some Brazilians have made an intelligent movie about Brazilian history. The American Academy interfering in Brazilian current events is crossing a line. Particularly with the Years of Lead being the product of a different American Academy interfering in Brazilian current events.
Once I've established the foundations of the Fifth Republic I'm planning to segue into Brazil's partnership with Soviet Yugoslavia in the UN Peacekeeping force introduced in response to the Suez Crisis (1956). The first ever UN Peacekeeping force.
The mission ended with the outbreak of the Six Day War. The Arab States decision to forfeit their 1967 borders with the State of Israel. Not even the Arabs considered Palestine to be a State back then.
Israel's victory in the Six Day war lead to the War of Attrition (1967-1970). Israel's decision to make concessions in response to the Arabs taking of hostages in the hijacking of El Al flight 426 (1968) saw hostage taking being adopted as one of the main tactics of the War of Attrition. Including by the Brazilian Maoist Peasants Leagues.
All that will allow me to formally acknowledge "September 5" (2024). Set against the backdrop of the very famous kidnapping at the 1972 Olympics it's really a movie about where you draw the line in terms of telling/interfering in other people's stories.
Allowing for discussion about the Super Bowl's controversial interference in the Suez adjacent Philadelphi Corridor and the swapping of Bodies For Bodies now that kidnapping seems to be back in fashion. Repeating that error would certainly taint the discussion.
Anyway. The good news is that I did make it as far as chores. The bad news is that I might wake up dead tomorrow.
