Well. At Least I Learned Something.

Do you remember that way, way back in February the US held this thing called the; "Super Bowl."

The; "Half-Time Show" was performed by this little fella called; "Kendrick Lamar." Who insisted we all learn about the history of Los Angeles.

How John C. Freemont & Robert F. Stockton expelled the Hispanic Conquistadors. Then the US Federal Army conquered the place with surveyors & cartographers. Who mapped the area into little parcels of land. Only for Governor Leland Sanford to grant that land to his friends. The; "Big Four." The original ; "Robber Barons."

Well . That's a lot like how Portugal colonised Brazil. Expect it didn't go so well. The Feudal Lords kept getting eaten by the locals. Forcing Portugal to send in Royal troops to look after them.

It's actually rather different from the Northern European model of Colonialism. The Royal Dutch West Indies Company being one of the Totalitarian Capitalist entities the Portuguese Crown had to send troops to stop eating the; "Donatário."

Anyway. That's about the first 400 years covered.
