I knew it probably wasn't the best time to be putting in an Amazon order.
However the surprisingly good earbuds I got for £5 last year, then used every day since gave out back in May. Forcing me to rely on the other £5 earbuds I got at the same time. Which are every bit as good as you'd expect.
After getting fed up of waiting to clear time in my schedule I relented on Friday (25/7) and got some very posh, half-price Sony ones. Along with some dull household stuff. Try as I might I really can't get excited about replacement heads for electric toothbrushes. Even when I'm managing to get them for 50p per unit. Rather than the £5 per unit the supermarket charges.
It all arrived in one package on Saturday (26/7) morning. Except the only interesting thing in the order, the earbuds, was missing from the package.
Fortunately Amazon's chatbot is much better at coping with missing items than incorrect items. So they immediately refunded me and I reordered the same item that evening. They arrived this morning.
The joke being that the menu for paired devices on my Mp3 player requires scrolling. So I didn't need them until Tuesday (29/7). So I was actually a bit annoyed about being given free next day delivery, rather than "sometime on Monday delivery."
Yep. That's the automatic, knee-jerk assumption. Given the neighbourhood.
