It's Certainly One Way To Make A Point.

That's right. I've decided it's time to start with the; "The Pope Is Dead" jokes.
Catholics first.
I really wanted to be finished with my coverage of; "Conclave" (2024) by Mourn-day Thursday at the latest. Then, ideally, have a lie down for about three days.
In much the same way I originally planned my 11,000 word exposition of; "Metropolis" (1927) to be a mere prelude to my exposition of; "The Brutalist" (2024). Both fitting into the same 15 page frame(!)
The Catholic Church came off very badly at The Oscars 2016, with the movie; "Spotlight." (2015). For very good reason.
I honestly think I gave; "Conclave" (2024) all the coverage it deserves. It being nothing more than a metaphor for the skulduggery of Awards Season.
Honestly, they're just talking about the movie. Not that person in the industry. The one sitting at that table just over there, possibly in earshot(!)
However now clips of the trailer are being shown on every TV news channel I'm getting the distinct impression that Edward Berger's inner-self is a very dark place. Wrapping himself in Islamaphobic support for the Catholic Church, in order to take very cheap shots at the Catholic Church.
Seriously. I'm sure he's far, far too intelligent to bother with the TV work of his contemporaries(!)
