Within Public Policy/Social Control there are things known as a; "Wicked Problem." These are problems made up of so many interconnected, contradictory variables that they are considered unsolvable.

Addressing all aspects of Climate Change, on a global scale is considered a; "Super Wicked Problem." Due to it being so much more difficult than a mere; "Wicked Problem." I'm pretty sure the term was coined in response to Climate Change.

Now, perhaps in reference to the former UN Secretary-General's misaddressed missive;

My experience is that before every COP Summit there is a Spring Meeting at the UNFCCC HQ in Bonn, Germany.

Then there is a Summer Meeting at the UNFCCC HQ in Bonn, Germany.

Then there is an Autumn Meeting at the UNFCCC HQ in Bonn, Germany.

Then, if 2015 was anything to go by, the absolute US State of Obama introduces a text none of us have ever seen before. Yet we all sign anyway.

I think my point is that in order to be ready for a COP Summit in November you really have to start preparing in August/September.

It's now been two years since my current posture allowed me to be present at a COP Summit. A posture which can currently be best described as;

"Silently staring, in deep amaze, at yet another yappy little dog display."

Meaning that my most recent role has simply been to glue my ar'se to the sofa and watch TV. In order to resist the temptation to add to the chaos.

However at the last COP Summit where I was present the strand I was focused on was the Warsaw Mechanism on Loss & Damage. That built on the Cancun Platform on Loss & Damage. Which itself built on the long established Nairobi Work Program on Loss & Damage.

It turns that something like flooding in Worcestershire is very different to something like salination in the Nile Delta.

So the purpose of the Warsaw Mechanism is to put experts in that specific environment with experts in that specific type of adverse effect. To order to assess the best way to adapt to any Loss & Damage caused by Climate Change.

I've still not had the opportunity to fully assess the Warsaw Mechanism. So I can't, in good conscience, fully endorse it

However I suspect that it will probably require some money to function. As I doubt any of those experts can afford to work for free, forever.

They're bound to drop dead at some point.

Anyway. Is this a good time to mention?

One of my mothers feels she has mastered Traditional Chinese. So is now learning Biblical Greek. Via the Tudor Cathedral. While my other mother has started to reconnect with the Roman Church.
