I got a Dashcam for the car. The main attraction being that it doesn't have either Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity.

Certainly since the Pandemic there is been an increase in the use of petrol driven motor-scooters. A big part of the reason for this is that in the UK you don't need a Driving License to operate one. Strictly speaking you do need a Provisional Driving License. However the only qualification you need to obtain one of those, essentially, learners permits is to be aged 17 years old or over.

There has also been a massive explosion in the use of Electric Bikes and Scooters, often with Lithium-Ion Batteries. In the UK no-one is legally allowed to operate any of these on public roads or sidewalks. However here in Khanistan they, and the type people who typically operate them, seem to fit into a different category of law enforcement. So in practice there is absolutely no restrictions of who is able to operate that sort of vehicle.

As a result you now have a large number of people, of all ages, hurtling around, far in excess of the 20mph (32kmph) speed limit, with f'ck all idea of what they're doing.

If anything this only seems to have made pedestrians more stupid. Apparently it's now considered perfectly sensible to wander onto even a Dual Carriageway with a 70mph (112kmph) speed limit without looking up from your phone.

I can't do anything about anyone else's desire to die. However I can take steps to make sure their deaths aren't my problem.

Also. I'm not sure if der Fuhrer has declared saying this to be a Tier 1 Hate Crime yet. However I also brought my own clothes.

A pair of black Lee Cooper stretch-fit jeans is really as exciting as it gets. Beyond that it's just block colured long-sleeved t-shirts and block coloured short-sleeved t-shirt. They will be combined to form the bottom two of around five layers over the coming months.

Seriously. I've got a cheap block coloured t-shirt which is a couple of years old. Yet the colour hasn't faded at all. Due to it never have been exposed to sunlight.

Continuing the excitement. I also got some round guttering downpipe clips. When I put back the guttering downpipe next to that famous bit of rendering I did so with what I had to hand. Meaning a round pipe yet a square clip. A round clip works so much better.

I was also able to source, through a certain online marketplace, a Digital TV decoder box. So look forward to a long rant about that.
