However the streaming gods at the UK Channel 5 network decided at the start of the month that I had 11 days to watch the last 8 episodes of Season 2 of; "Yellowstone." Thus completely ruining it.

In the show his character's job is to catch wild horses, break them and sell them. Sort of a Montana version of a dog warden.
In the second, 2019, season his TV son gets his first horse. So there's this big scene where they go through the process of introducing the young horse to the saddle for the first time. What I know as; "Backing."
Back in 2021, somewhere between the Olympics and the Paralympics. One of my mothers broke her leg while backing an actual; "Paint." Which is an American breed of horse that's actually somewhat rare* in Europe.

Obviously I would hate to slander America by suggesting that they've ever made the mistake of bidding to host an Olympics. After lengthy negotiations, the Paralympics sort of come as a package deal.
Although if the Olympics were ever to darken America's shores. Then I suppose it would be interesting to see them integrate Western-style horsemanship into Equestrian events which are exclusively dominated by the European-style.
It would certainly teach me more about Western style horsemanship. "Cutting," "Barrel Racing" etc. It turns out the Native Irish already have; "Relay Races."

However I've not even begun to look at it. Although in this day and age I suspect that, in a pinch, for the same money I could buy some actual fast-fashion Cowboy boots.
If that's the route we're going to be going down though. I only feel it's customary that I inform you;
