The Car Mystery Deepens.
It went to the mechanics on Saturday (18/11). On Monday (20/11) the mechanic changed the fuses and cleaned the electrics. The automotive equivalent of turning it off and turning it back on again.
Then it started working again. No-one's got any idea why it started working again. Or why it stopped working in the first place.
At some point it's going to have to go back to a dealer for a more in depth diagnostic.
For now though it's working and we've got it back.
Also.
One of my mothers came up for lunch today.
On the way there we dropped my father off to pick up the car. As we were sitting down to eat we got a text that he'd forgotten to take his house keys with him.
So it was mainly her patiently watching me bang my head against the table in frustration at all that. Along with the blinds saga. Which, genuinely, is the answer to the question;
"So what have you be doing since we last met?"
I suppose the big news is that my brother is now actually married. Under Islamic law at least. Which is certainly one hell of a Pokemon card to play at a moment like this.
Obviously that did lead to some pondering of what Christmas would be like. If I'd ended up marrying that Israeli Jew.
Further hinting at Celtic roots. Some of my relatives who spend a lot of their time travelling to and from the EU have finally realised it might be an idea to take up their Irish citizenship.
It turns out my grandfather was actually from County Cork. Not Ballykissangel.
Which gives us all yet another chance to have a really good laugh at the CIA's expense.
