"Refugee Camp" Has A Different Meaning Within The Israel-Palestine Conflict.

It refers to refugees from the 1948 War. Or, these days, the descendants of refugees from the 1948 War.

The Jabilia Camp was established back in 1948, nearly 20 years before the UK town of Milton Keynes. Unless you were told, walking around you would assume its just any other district of the city.

The reason why it's still referred to as a; "Camp" and the people who live there are still referred to as; "Refugees," even within what is considered Two-State Palestine. It's because they're still clinging to the belief that, one day, they'll be able to expel all Jews from all of the Middle-East.

Needless to say the people who choose to live there have very strong views on Hamas' 'cause.'

Particularly the ones who are still choosing to be there weeks after being told to evacuate.
