I Still Feel That I Should Offer A Defence.

What first attracted me to becoming a traffic warden was an urgent desire to pay rent and eat food. 

With already close to a decade of, much worse, experience under my belt. It was the sort of thing I could do day-in, day-out without ever really having to switch my brain on.

To give you an idea of how within my comfort zone I was.

At one point, through muscle memory, I reached to adjust the volume on my radio. Which is a perfectly innocuous move, your honour. That just happens to bring your elbow and forearm in line with the customer's face.

Midway through I remembered. I wasn't wearing a radio.
