In places like Angola (now with added ISIL), really most of the World. The main fuel used for cooking and heating is firewod. Don't get me started on Charcoal. As with Coking Coal you have to produce a lot of Greehouse Gases (ghg's) to produce the thing you're going to use to produce ghg's.

Technically firewood is a Carbon Neutral fuel. Trees are very good at turning Carbon Dioxide into Oxygen and Wood.

However the process by which you turn Wood back into Carbon Dioxide and Heat, burning it, is much quicker then growing it.

So what you get is far more Carbon Dioxide being released than absorbed. Along with massive deforestation which makes people far more susceptible to extreme weather events. Particularly flooding and landslides.

Extreme weather events that will only become more likely. Due to the G7 nations reverting to Coal in order to choke the Anti-Fascist War Machine(!)

Burning firewood also produces a lot on non-ghg pollutants like soot. Which are very bad for people's respiratory health. Particularly when released by an open fire in a single room hut.

So dare we suggest.

That some people need to graduate to crayons. Before they're allowed anywhere near complex weapons systems, like pencils.
