Do You Know What A Day Without Something Breaking Is?

It's a day closer to something breaking.

About five weeks ago I decided. That by the end of the day that it's stopped raining the grass needs to be shorter.

So on Monday (17/4) I set out to cut the grass. As this would be the first cut of the year I started by preparing the mower.

So making sure it was clean and in good order. Checking the blades were sharp and balanced The oil and fuel were topped up. Firing it up, letting it run for a few minutes.

I then set out to cut the grass.

Pulling the cord so hard I broke the starter motor.

Forcing me to trim half the estate using a strimmer/weed whacker. Then raking up all the cut grass by hand. I didn't even contemplate Fox Meadow. However Kit Nursery is now, roughly, ready.

All while figuring out how I'm going to fix the starter motor.

Apparently I still have my rag.
