I was one of the big complaints about the IMF in the 1990's. That up until they would use a onesize-fits-all approach.

So regardless of what country they were in, what economic problem they were tackling. They would just try the same solutions.

It was a massive step forward for the IMF.

Getting them to realise that different countries require different approaches.
