When they realised they were wrong. The previous Obama/Biden regime introduced the JCPOA. To climbdown from their mistake.

Without being forced to accept that universal lesson;

That it's the doing of the incredibly stupid thing. Which makes the humiliating climbdown inevitable.

Trump simply withdrew from the JCPOA. His only mistake was not allowing the rest of the World to resume trade with Iran as normal.

But that was really the rest of the World's mistake. For not just resuming normal trade with Iran.

So, in summary;

Don't attempt Middle-East Peace when you've been drinking for 14hrs.
