Gone Full House Again.

Today has seen the official start of the G7 Summit.

So it should come as no surprise. That my father was summound into hospital for a surgical preassessment. I accompanied him.

My father decided to bring a walking cane with him. Which he didn't use. Leaving me sitting there in a hospital twirling a cane. While trying to make junior staff cry.

As I mentioned. I obtained a letter from his consultant detailing his condition on Tuesday (8/6/21). I'm not going to publish the details here. However the phrase; "Glorified Hemorrhiod" has never seemed more appropriate.

The series of meetings included one with an anesthetist.

The issue is that back in, I think, the winter of 2017/18 my father contracted Bronchitis. Which his GP completely failed to diagnose.

Due to the GP's negligence this developed into mild CPOD. Which his GP also completely failed to diagnose.

As did the Consultant who recommended my father for surgery.

Fortunately both I and the anesthetist were able to quickly diagnose it. Through simple visual examination. Then adopt my treatment plan.

There's still a Go/No Go on the issue of a high dependency bed. In bit of a short supply at the moment.

Then it was a couple of hours of sport.

Listening to almost delusionally condescending people. Attempting to explain a topic they clearly do not understand.

A bit of advice for NHS recruitment;

If asked the question; "Are you planning on keyhole or open surgery."

No surgical nurse should ever reply; "Errr....Is there a difference?"

As an extra bonus. Adult social services used the opportunity to conduct a welfare check. Due to my father's Dementia.

So certain safeguarding issues were raised;

1. Why are they even proposing surgery. For someone who, they define, as lacking mental capacity to consent. A criminal offence.

2. Who has diagonised my father with Dementia. Without making any attempt to assess him for Dementia. Then decided not the tell him. Also criminal offences.

This is revisiting an issue. That I consider myself somewhat knowledgable on. Having destroyed this very NHS Trust at the High Court over.

3. The medical negligence in failing to diagnose his Bronchitis. Causing it to develop into very mild COPD. A career ending failure to meet basic professional standards.

4. The campaign of harassment against an eldery and vulnerable person. Namely subjecting a deaf person to barrage of anxiety inducing phonecalls that they are unable to answer.

Despite having; "DEAF: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TELEPONE" witten on their contact information in big red letters. Also a criminal offence.

5. Subjecting a elderly, vulnerable person to an incapacitating medical procedure. While under the belief they lack the mental capacity to consent to such a procedure. Then dumping them out onto the pavement. With no way to get home.

I strongly recommend that adult social services resolve these safeguarding issues through the proper channels. Namely the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the police.

We shall see. It's not promising that the Social Worker, genuinely, could not remember the name of the CQC.

I hope the Group of 7 have fun discussing the issues raised.

However the matter will not be considered resolved. Until I am completely satisfied.
