If you watch back the footage from last night. You'll notice how many members of Congress emphasised variants on the phrase;

"As presented by the tellers."

That's an effort to shift liability for the fraud. From themselves onto the tellers.

They all know they've committed a criminal offence. Which, due to the murder committed during its commission, carries the death penalty.

They also know they're going to be found guilty.

So are already working on their sentencing mitigations.
