Now There's A Surprise.

Amid all this interest in shows I've been streaming. Amazon seem increasingly desperate for me to join their Prime Video service.

Today they posted me a gift card for a 30 day free trial. Which the cave dwellers resisted the urge to steal.

It's exactly the same as the 30 day free trial they offer online. Every time you sign in and in email after email.

Which is why I'm impressed. That they went to the effort to produce a plastic card with my name and a hologram on it. Then mail it to me.

Obviously I'll only be streaming content from their servers if they're paying for it. As part of a serious offer that lasts much longer than 30 days.

Although I don't think it was the intention. They've certainly hit on the major flaw at the heart of this madman's fantasy.

While it's a good few years away. 

When the money runs out. That's not the moment everyone's delusions magically become real.

That is the end. The point from which there is no coming back.

Any rational person would want to delay that point as long as possible.
