How are we defining; "Endotracheal Tube?'
Google believes it to be just the tracheal cannula.
I though think it includes that kinky business. Which connects the ventilator to the what used to be a human.
Having been insulated from nuisance lawsuits one of the increased risks I would ask medical professionals to accept is the reuse of endotracheal tubes.
Obviously sterilize them between patients.
I doubt any plastic would survive an autoclave. I hope though they could survive one alcohol bath.
If push absolutely comes to shove.
Surely though the question is;
"Why can't they be made from a type of plastic that survives a couple of alcohol baths?"
