Putin May Have a Point.
When I see a person in the street wearing any sort of mask.

I just see an invitation to punch.
Likewise if I were a frontline healthcare worker. Being told by a manager to wear the same respirator all day.
I would tell that manager to go forth and procreate.
In not so many words.
I would rather risk going without respirator. Rather than carrying a virus reservoir on my face all day.
For frontline healthcare workers though it is a serious risk.
They will be hit with a viral load that not even the sickest patient could imagine. Let alone some idiot on the street.
For unconscious patients in ventilator beds gas masks may well be a viable alternative. Ideally of the fullface/visor type
You keep the mask on and just switch the filter cartridges out.
I suspect most militaries have decent stockpiles of the right sort of filter.
Much of which is probably going out of date. This long after 9/11.
