When she's not working Stana Katic is a big supporter of independent film. Particularly through the Independent Spirit Awards. Which take place the night before the Oscars.
During the Independent Spirit Awards you will frequently see Stana Katic's name trend of Twitter. Prompting a cycle of;
"That's a strange looking name. I've seen it written down somewhere before."
And;
"OMG! The woman from Castle. I hope she hasn't died!"
