What, No Mates Rates?!
I've been to see my Doctor.
Who, like all British General Practioners (GP), has never been part of the NHS. Instead he operates a for-profit Limited Liability Partnership (LLP). Which sells its services to the NHS.
Well, strictly speaking I didn't see my Doctor. The June visit was reviewed. And it was agreed that the chronic nature of my pain meant I was suitable to be moved onto automatic repeat prescriptions.
I collected the first of these from the Pharmacist's today.
Like the GP, and all other British Pharmacists, they also have never been part of the NHS. Instead they operate a for-profit LLP. Which sells its services to the NHS.
I would like to say that this new system has made my life better.
Unfortunately it was the Labour Party which negotiated those contracts between the NHS and these LLP's.
So I had to waste time and money on their latest scam to defraud the taxpayer.
GP's now offer this 'friendly service' where they automatically send your presecription to a partner Pharmacist. If you try and turn down this kind offer both the GP and the Pharmacist get very upset.
That's because it prevents them from charging the NHS an extra service fee. Which they split between them
So they make an extra profit from making my life more difficult. Yet don't offer me any sort of discount.
So no.
The NHS won't be helping the Sackler Family in their efforts,
'To provide hardworking Americans with cheaper drugs.'
