At the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest I talked a lot about Amazon's Fire Tablet.
How they're sold at a huge loss in order to trap you into Amazon's wider ecosystem. Although the battery lasts for ages you can only download apps etc from the Amazon marketplace.
In order to get full functionality the tablet has to be signed into an Amazon account. Which is a bit of a security issued because Amazon accounts are directly linked to bank accounts.
I specifically said my father can put up with reduced battery life in return for increased security.
My father's tablet broke. So I helped him replace it with an Amazon Fire.
Even though he doesn't have an Amazon account it's been set up with maximum security settings.
