Today is a New Day.
October 15th 2019 (15/10/19).
I've decided it's time to clear something up.
The Brexit Withdrawal Agreement was published at the end of November 2018. As a result the British news media covered literally nothing else.
After about two weeks I realised that despite this I still had absolutely no idea what was in the Withdrawal Agreement. So I decided to read it for myself.
That's not how I would choose to spend my weekend. However I do have experience of documents such as that. So it's something I can do relatively easily.
I'd finished reading the Withdrawal Agreement. Along with drawing my conclusions and drafting a sort of mental outline of my analysis.
All before I'd noticed that Britain was trying to coax me into covering the Withdrawal Agreement.
Things like the rare edition 50p pieces. Intended to highlight the regulatory divergence between Northern Ireland and the UK mainland. In the area of currency issuance.
So Britain didn't manipulate my actions. I merely decided to do them a favour.
If that led Britain to wrongly think that it could manipulate my behaviour I'm sorry. I wouldn't have bothered.
Although they being terrible at their jobs isn't really something I need to apologise for.
