At a Time of Our Choosing.
Back in June 2019 I was blocked by Twitter.
Officially this is because I urged the account @SkyNews to commit suicide. In a discussion over the Assisted Suicide of Dutch teenager Noa Pothoven.
The fact that @SkyNews is an inanimate, bot account which is incapable of suicide didn't seem to bother them. Nor did the fact that Assisted Suicide is a topic of significant public interest across much of the developed world.
The real reason of course is that Twitter were trying to establish dominance over me.
As we all know Twitter is not staffed by social awkward nerds who are barely out of High School. Instead it is staffed by gods who created the universe on the day of their births and are all knowing in all matters.
So we must bow down to their absolute supremacy in all matters.
Personally I think this is all rather childish.
However it is the worldview that Twitter believes in.
So it has become important that I highlight their lack of dominance by putting them in a neat little box to one side. A little box I have labelled; "Oh, honey."
Every two weeks I open up that little box to check that they're okay.
This used to happen on alternate Tuesday. However that routine seems to have become rather predictable.
For example one of these welfare checks was scheduled for October 8th (8/10/19).
It was in those hours that Turkish President/Prime Minister/Emperor Recep Tayyip Erdogan was preparing to launch his latest invasion of Syria. In support of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
So I thought it was unwise to give Twitter a megaphone to declare to the world that in its eyes.
ISIL are loved.
ISIL are cared for.
ISIL are protected.
The next scheduled welfare check fell on October 22nd (22/10/19). As Erdogan was meeting with Russian President Putin to discuss Erdogan's most recent invasion of Syria.
So again I thought it was unwise to give Twitter a megaphone to declare to the world that in its eyes.
ISIL are loved.
ISIL are cared for.
ISIL are protected.
I've just done a welfare check on Twitter and can confirm that they do indeed need urgent, professional medical intervention.
Particularly with Belgian Paralympian Marieke Vervoot undergoing an Assisted Suicide procedure on October 22nd (22/10/19).
Mention of which I assume was forbidden in Twitter's offices.
Given their propensity for self-harm.
