The UK Parliament Remains Prorogued.
I'll attempt to do a proper version tomorrow.
However on the issue the Supreme Court has attempted to legislate from the bench.
Specifically attempting to rewrite the section of the 1689 Bill of Rights relating to freedom of Parliamentary speech (proceedings).
Amending or scrapping a law is simply not within the power of any UK Court. Not even the Supreme Court.
As for the notion that a Court can even consider, let alone, overturn a Parliamentary proceeding. Even on the grounds of fraud or deception.
With Parliamentary proceedings frequently costing private citizens money many have tried that argument over the centuries.
Time and time again it has been found invalid and rejected.
So the Supreme Court did not hand down a legal ruling or make any sort of legal order yesterday.
To paraphrase Lady Justice Hale;
"It is as if the Court has presented nothing but a blank sheet of paper. "
So The Clash song the SNP were looking for was not; "I Fought the Law."
It's; "This is Radio Clash."
As the peer review explained nearly two weeks ago.
