It almost goes without saying the prorogation of the British Parliament affects the British Parliament.

Meaning that challenges to it can only be heard by a British Court. Rather than a sub-national Scottish one.

This challenges has been led by the Scottish National Party (SNP). They are the largest party in Scotland. So chose to bring the matter before a Scottish Court thinking their political power would allow them to exert a corrupt influence over the Court.

The fact they were not able to do that and the challenge was initial rejected shows how baseless their case it.

The matter is now before a British Court.

Allowing space for the teenage tantrum that was always expected.

It comes at a time when the Queen is trying to distance herself from the advisers who instructed her to grant Royal Assent to the Benn Bill.

That caused a lot of offence to people who correctly advised her that the Benn Bill is unlawful and therefore unable to obtain Royal Assent.

The Queen is particularly keen to be seen to apologise to the EU.

Although not the intention the Benn Bill actually allows Britain to exert massive power over the EU.

You can forget about all elements of the Benn Bill relating to the EU offering an extension. The EU is forbidden, by its own laws, from offering or attempting to impose an extension.

Therefore the only way the EU can keep Britain as a member beyond October 31st (31/10/19) is by agreeing to any and all conditions made as part of the extension request.

That could include something like Ireland giving up the idea it is an independent Republic. Instead agreeing to rejoin the British isles.
