Meanwhile America has been gripped by drama of its own.
An intelligence community whisteblower claimed that US President Trump had pressured (((Ukrainian))) President Zalensky. In a phonecall in July 2019.
Specifically by threatening to withhold US military aid unless an investigation was opened into Bursima. An oil company which just so happens to have the son of former US VP Joe Biden among its directors.
This saga has forced the US to release a transcript of the phonecall. A significant breach of the diplomatic protocol that private conversations between Heads of Government/State are not made public.
The transcript reveals the whistleblowers claims to be a, presumably malicious, lie.
US military aid was not raised at all. Trump did not ask for an investigation to be opened.
It would have been impossible to do so. That investigation has already been opened in April 2019.
It was Zelensky who brought this up. Confirming the investigation was ongoing.
I suppose we should thank Nancy Pelosi though.
For releasing the hostage video the Death Squad forced her to make.
