I Actually Checked in With Twitter Yesterday.
Tuesday, July 16th (16/7/19).
They remain adamant. Their hand is still raised.
My email account is now almost exclusively messages from Twitter. "Highlights" they've selected to try and entice me back onto their platform.
Or that's what I assume. They're going unopened and unread.
The only real reason I checked in was that I had to cancel my Now TV sports pass. Before it rolled over and billed me for another month.
In order to stop me from cancelling they offered me a 40% discount for the next three months. Taking us up until the end of October 2019. I took them up on that offer. Not least because it will allow me to watch the Ashes Cricket and the start of the new football season.
It's probably worth noting that end of October 2019 date was floating about a lot at the time. Through Ryanair's expectation of for how long the Boeing 737 Max will remain grounded. Along with targeted ads for things like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
I should point out then that I don't have any date in mind as to when I expect Twitter's fault to be remedied. Knowing the capabilities, or lack there of, of the people involved I'm comfortable with the idea that it won't be remedied.
After all I won't be the one who will have to deal with the consequences of the failures of others.
