Much like Scott Mills, I don't know if you're old enough to remember the turn of the current Millennium.
However there was a fashion for US College Sex Comedies. "American Pie" (1999) was the success which got that particular ball rolling.
Obviously we were all young, we were all drunk. However even in the pick-of-the-litter, "American Pie" and all of its sequels, between the jokes there were many moments that were deeply problematic. For example; "Van Wilder: Party Liaison" (2002) is deeply Racist, Homophobic and Transphobic. Back before Transphobia was a thing.
"Cougar Club" (2007) is all of the worst bits of that trend, with none of its redeeming features.
Throughout; "The Big Bang Theory" there is a recurring joke that as a young, aspiring actress Kaley Cuoco's; "Penny" exposed her breasts in a terrible movie.
I like to think; "Cougar Club" (2007) was that movie.
Not that even that, slightly asymmetrical, promise could make me suffer as far as the first commercial break(!)
Although why listen to me, I've just discovered; 'Gays Say The Funniest Things' wasn't her debut(!)
