Although I Did Find The Time To Fact-Check That.

No mean feat. As Thomas Hobbes suggested, the most widely cited source is hardly known for its fidelity. Isn't it long past time the old King James was retired?

While it's widely accepted that Joseph and Mary had to take that wee fecking donkey back to Bethlehem, Joseph's birthplace, for the Census ordered by Emperor Augustus the results of that Census were hardly set in stone.

A wider collection of independently corroborating sources strongly suggest that King Herod died around 70 years before he supposedly ordered the; "Massacre of the Innocents." An event that not even the (slaver) King James version of the Christian Bible universally accepts as having taken place.

Even indulging the claim of a Massacre of the Innocents then it's very highly unlikely that the new mother gathered everything up and trekked off South to seek "Refuge" in Egypt, a convenient reversal of the Book of Exodus. Instead it's far, far more likely that they all took the days walk back East to Nazareth. What with this being the story of; "Jesus of Nazareth" and all.

As for this claim; "Jesus Was Palestinian!™" That's simply impossible.

The Italian, Roman, European Colonisers didn't invent the term; "Place of the Pelest" until around 30 years after the generally accepted death of Jesus.

As a way to suppress the aboriginal population of the; "Place of the Jews." After they started to get all fighty in their attempts to shake-off the White, European Colonial oppressors.

Every Year!

Every year at least one of my less literate Christian Brothers tries bringing that ridiculous, little protest to the table.

Forcing me to make that obvious joke.
